Midleton Distillery, located in County Cork, is one of the most iconic whiskey distilleries in the world. Established in 1825 by the Murphy brothers, it quickly gained a reputation for crafting high-quality Irish pot still whiskey. In 1966, Midleton joined forces with John Jameson & Son and Powers to form the Irish Distillers Group, uniting to safeguard the Irish whiskey industry during a challenging era. In 1975, production moved to a modern facility adjacent to the original site, blending traditional methods with increased capacity. Today, Midleton is home to renowned brands like Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, and Midleton Very Rare.
